Normally you have to choose between a holiday by the sea or in the mountains, but families don't always agree. This is not the case at Villa Monte y Mar, whose name already gives away what is on offer: From the expansive terraced landscape in front of the house, you can enjoy the backdrop of the majestic mountain massif Hand on the one hand, and at the same time a wonderful far-reaching view of the sea as far as the horizon. The picturesque backdrop of the property is surrounded by a variety of Mediterranean flora: Oleanders, tall palm trees, hibiscus and cacti adorn the area around the house in flowerbeds and pretty pots, creating a wonderful visual complement to the stone materials on the ground and above on the house façade and the blue of the sky, in the blue sun loungers and the mosaic tiles in the pool. The 8 metre long swimming pool is located in the centre of the aforementioned terrace and thus offers numerous opportunities for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade under the covered area. Due to the cliff-top location, there is a second level with balconies and even a garden section where you will find a brick-built barbecue for stress-free barbecues. This area is accessible via steps from two sides. A completely private seating area has also been set up here for relaxing, playing or reading. In the middle of a round gravel bed, surrounded and covered with a variety of unique pieces of natural stone, a palm tree takes centre stage; a rustic bench is attached to its trunk, a place to linger that you will certainly enjoy visiting often during your holiday. You will find some shade on this garden level under the palm leaves gently swaying in the wind or the permanently installed awning on the house. The sea view from both terrace levels is simply marvellous, with the protective hills behind you. Monte y Mar here you really don't have to compromise!

This also applies to the interior design of this welcoming villa. With a maximum occupancy of seven people, it is particularly ideal for six adults and one child, as one of the three spacious bedrooms is equipped with an additional single bed. On the lower level there is a large bedroom with living area and separate flat-screen TV, with direct access to the pool terrace. As this studio is somewhat separate, it offers maximum privacy for a grandparent generation. It can accommodate seven more people by arrangement and on request for an additional charge. The upper level has, among other things, an open-plan living area with direct access to the balcony. The kitchen with its cosy dining area consisting of a family corner bench is just a few steps above the living room with its trendy wicker beach house seating area. A fully equipped kitchen with high-quality technical equipment is a matter of course, as is a lounge with a flat-screen TV and free WiFi access. The colourful design with marble walls, terracotta floors and colour accents gives all areas a pleasant feel. The two bedrooms on the upper floor, both air-conditioned and ensuring a restful night's sleep, share a bathroom. In this bright, beautifully situated villa, you can simply enjoy romantic and restful tranquillity. If you have four guests, you can also use the upper floor (with a bathroom).

The proximity to the old fishing port of Colonia de Sant Pere is an ideal starting point for a varied holiday, especially if you and your family or friends are beach lovers. Bathing spots are also within easy walking distance. This charming coastal town is a quiet little place, spared from mass tourism, with a small promenade and a few good restaurants and cafés. Due to its central location in this very well-kept urbanisation with very few neighbours (the local road can only be heard occasionally, depending on the wind direction), you can also easily reach pretty towns such as the medieval town of Artà and should combine a visit to the monastery with a relaxed stroll through the Tuesday market. For sporty travellers, the region around Colonia de Sant Perre offers great hiking and mountain biking trails against a picturesque backdrop. Regardless of how you choose to spend your holiday at the beautiful Villa Monte Y Mar, you are sure to find what you are looking for.

The friendly sea view villa Monte y Mar is located just above the coastal town of Colonia de Sant Pere. This town has some good restaurants, cafés and several shopping facilities within walking distance. The sheltered town beach near the harbour is the perfect choice, especially for families with children. Other great beaches such as Son Serra de Marina are also within easy reach. The view of Cap Formentor, the northernmost viewpoint of this beautiful Balearic island, is about 10 kilometres away and offers a breathtaking panorama.
