Holiday apartments in a quiet location with a balcony and wellness facilities

Welcome to the “Vierjahreszeiten” (Four Seasons) house in Altenau in the Oberharz. You will feel comfortable here and can enjoy your holiday, weekend or free time to the full here in this beautiful location at the heart of the Harz region in any season. The “Heißer Brocken” thermal and sauna landscape is nearby, where you can relax and enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools with different temperatures in the thermal baths, as well as the many types of sauna.

You can choose between three holiday apartments with modern and attractive furnishing, consisting of a living room (satellite TV and radio), a kitchen, a bedroom, a shower/bath, WC. They accommodate up to six people.

A highlight for the leisurely: the in-house beauty salon offers his and hers massages, beauty treatments, manicures and pedicures, to relax from everyday stress.

There are shopping facilities and cosy restaurants in Altenau and there is a bakery about 100 metres away, where you can also have breakfast. You can do more substantial shopping at various markets in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. You can hire bicycles and skis locally.

    “empfehlenswert Positiv: Kurze Wege zu den Wanderwegen.
    Freundliche Wirtsleute Restaurant: Wurstezipfel - Nettes kleines Restaurant um Markt mi sehr freundlicher Bedienung.
    Hier wird auch schon mal länger bedient, als es draußen dran steht. Ausflüge: Wanderweg am Dammgraben - Guter Wanderweg quer durch den Westharz.
    Auch sehr geeignet für untrainierte Leute.”

    “Alles in allem gab es in der Wohnung alles, was man brauchte. Es war alles schon etwas abgewohnt, aber für das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis schon okay. Was mich sehr gestört hat, war die nicht richtig funktionierende Heizung. Lediglich im Wohnzimmer konnte die Wohlfühltemperatur erreicht werden. In den beiden Schlafzimmer und im Flur wurde es nie wärmer als 18 Grad. Wobei leider auch nur Sommerbettdecken und Sommerbettbezug vorhanden waren. So waren wir froh, dass es zu unserem Reisezeitpunkt nicht ganz so kalt war. Auch das kleine Badezimmer wurde nicht richtig warm.

    Was ich auch eher unangenehm fand, war die Auslegware. Gerade in Ferienwohnungen habe ich mehr ein Gefühl von Sauberkeit, wenn Fliesen oder Laminat gelegt sind. Trotzdem wie gesagt.
