A larger supermarket and more tourist attractions in the nearby village of Evolène (9km=10min by car).You reach the capital Sion in 30 min and the next international airport is Geneva (176km) = 1h50. Zermatt and Chamonix (France) in 1h30 by car.Winter - Practical no snow in the village but 4 ski resorts nearby: our favorit Nax/Mont-Noble 20min by car or skibus (great for families and beginners, skischool), Evolène/Lana at 15 min, Arolla and Thyon/Veysonnaz (4 valley-Verbier) via Les Masses 30 mn. Many snowshoes trails, cross country in Evolène, nordic skiing. Typical restaurants in Evolène - our famous cheese specialities: raclette and fondue.
